Hello, I'm Jo.

I’m a transpersonal art therapist and watercolour artist.

I offer a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental space for you to explore your inner world at your own pace.

My art therapy sessions combine mindfulness, creative expression, and reflective practice to support women through life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth.

What is Transpersonal Art Therapy?

Transpersonal art therapy is a holistic approach that supports self-discovery, emotional wellbeing, and a deeper connection to self.

It integrates mindfulness, reflection, and creative expression to support awareness and personal insight beyond conversation alone.

It is not about artistic skill — it is about expression, insight, and connection.

Each session is tailored to your needs and gently paced to meet you where you are.

What to Expect in a Session

I see art therapy as a process of listening — to thoughts, emotions, imagery, and what may be difficult to express in words.

Art becomes a way of giving form to what is not yet spoken.

This process is gentle, intuitive, and unfolds at its own pace.

Each session begins with a grounding practice such as mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, music, or gentle reflection.

You are then invited into an art-making process using simple materials such as pencil, paint, or collage.

No art experience is needed.

We then spend time reflecting together on what has emerged, in a supportive and guided way.

I provide a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental space for you to explore your inner world at your own pace.

Materials

Simple materials are often enough — paper and crayons, pencils, or paints.

Depending on your preference, we may also explore watercolour, pastels, collage, or mixed media.

All materials are discussed before your first session.

Online Art Therapy Sessions

Online sessions offer a private and accessible space to engage in art therapy from your own environment.

In-person sessions are also available in Maleny and through selected Art & Nature Retreats.
